I know into the wild is over, but i just want to know who feels that Chris McCandless got what he was looking for. I know he traveled ever where that he wanted to including Alaska and he also met people that he would never forget about if he was alive till this day. Do you feel that because McCandless died on his Great Alaska Adventure that he had achieved everything he wanted and was looking for in life up to that moment?

I think he got what he was looking for until he got sick and realized he couldn't live in his fantasy world anymore. He wanted to escape from something he created and he wanted to hold onto life.
I really think Chris got what he thought he wanted. He spent so much time in his life thinking he wanted solitude and to be free from society. When he gets sick and feels he can't go on much longer, he realizes that he didn't want what he had. He wanted to share things with the people he loved. He lived the life he lead but in the end it was not what he really wanted.
