He's not stupid but he's not smart

I think that Chris McCandless is far from stupid. He was college educated and he read alot of books. He seemed to be very articulate. I think that the best way to describe him is a dare devil or a thrill seeker. I'm sure that he knew that burning all of his money and traveling with not alot of equipment wasn't the smartest idea but thats the life that he wanted to live so people just need to respect that. I can't call him crazy just because i would never ever do anything like that. i understand why people would think he was dumb or out of his mind because that is a pretty fair assumption but its still not right. Everyone is entitled to live their lives the way that they want to and that's how he wanted to live his.

Lively. That wasn't a shot at you Amari. If anything that was a compliment.

I agree with the last line especially. Great post.

He wasn't "smart" or "stupid". But if i had to choose one of the two, hmmm, i would probably choose smart. Although, he made some choices that eventually caused his death, he was far from stupid. He was well- educated; but chose to live his life as an adventure.

If anything, he was a smart, adventurous and admirable person!

this comment is reguarding your comment to my ssr book. it really is an interesting books. we never think about the person that we are judging and how its effecting their lives. and just by sharing our thoughts to others can effect what they think and how they treat that person. i try and be careful of what i say. sometimes i caint help it and blurt out whatever i think but im working on it. but it is really an eye opener, reading from this point of view. give it a chance even with its slow start.
