An undeniable Passion

Finishing up Into the Wild I guess the only question im left with is what Chris would have gone on to do in his life. In my opinion, he was an extremely intellegent young man with an incredibly bright future if only he could have had the opportunity to explore what he wanted to do after his Alaskan adventure. You can tell that Chris had an undeniable passion in his spirit and i find it sad he never was able to express that clearly to everyone. He also took a lot out of his adventure and i think he could have really made something of himself, and returned to his family who obviously loved him very much, although his parents weren't the best people to show it, and make amends with them.

i agree with your confusion on what he would have done after the adventure in alaska. Sanchez asked the same question earlier and it's hard because i want to know what he would have done. but we dont unfortunately. he really did have a promising future and yet he didnt pursue that part of his life. i wonder if that was something he planned on doing after he was done trekking the United States? possibly. or was he just planning on trekking the US for the rest of his existence. i wish we had some idea.

The thing is his parents didn't love him or care for him while he was there. What kind of parents don't show affection to their children. Chris was tried of being in the system so he went above it; and of course that looks crazy to those who are still in it.
